Ginger is a powerful antioxidant that I grew up on BUT I didn’t realize the benefits until I got much older. I remember when I was younger my mother would make me drink ginger tea for various maladies such as stomach aches and colds. At that time, I thought yuck this tea is gross but would later realize a change in my symptoms.
In my twenties, as I began my holistic journey, I revisited ginger and started to incorporate it into my diet. I would use it to make tea, certain recipes and also use it in my pressed juices. When I am on my menstrual cycle, I drink ginger tea and it helps to alleviate my stomach cramps. Also I use it when I feel a cold coming on and it helps to boost my immune system to help my body fight it off. Below I have highlighted a few benefits:
